DIY Birdhouse

Build a nesting box for baby birds.

Encourage a love of nature at an early age. This lovely pre-fabricated box can be easily assembled by beginners. It's great fun to create, let children help you put it together and then watch the birds flock.

The box can be easily painted, before it is nailed to a tree.

There is no need to add any "nesting" materials to the box, as birds prefer to feather their own nests.

You will need a screwdriver, glue and paint, if you wish.  Please supervise children around any sharp objects used in making the birdhouse, as these could cause injury.

Age: 5+

Materials: Sustainable lime wood

Size: 32 x 17cms

Great little birdhouse

Our 3.9yo boy loved helping make this with his father after learning about/becoming interested in birds recently at nursery - even painted and varnished it and it's looking great (constructive feedback: could be useful to have instructions in english but they worked it out in the end!)

TW, this is a very kind review given you don't speak German (I assume?!) Eeek, I am SO sorry, I wish you had emailed in, there are English instructions and I am horrified you didn't get any! I am delighted your family are so handily talented that they made it work anyway. I hope the birds come flocking!
