A wooden balance board in beechwood, made in Europe.

This stylish wooden balancing board stimulates hours of creative play in children and exercise for teens and adults.

This Waldorf-inspired wobble board has multiple uses.

🤸‍♀️ Children use the wooden rocker board as a slide, a bridge, or a pirate ship!

💃 Adults can use it to improve health and train as per recommendation from physical therapists.

It was originally designed to help children develop balance, stimulate the vestibular system (our sense of balance), and gain a deep sense of awareness of the body and body parts.

This beechwood balance board is excellent for stimulating child development -both physical and mental - and offers open-ended play opportunities for toddlers, children, teens, and even adults.

Are Wooden Balance Boards Worth it?

Watch the child’s imagination take over once their wooden board arrives. It's only parents that ask, what should I do next? Children intuitively just know. The possibilities are endless - and truly up to them! It becomes a seesaw, a balance board, a slide, a step stool, a boat, a resting place, a doll bed, a puppet stage, a tunnel and many more opportunities for them to explore.

What is the best age for a balance board?

Really, there is no perfect age.  At around 1 year, babies will find the rocker fascinating.  Of course, all children need supervision but as their skills develop, the boards will be used in different ways.

As the baby becomes a toddler, they will rock in it, turn it over and use it as a slide, a shop, a car race track, a building, as part of their imaginary play.

As an adult, I (Katherine co-founder of PomPom) adore these boards.  My kids read in them and I exercise in them.  They are brilliant as part of my pilates core exercises.

The wooden balancing boards are made with care from sustainably sourced high quality beechwood in Spain.

Is this an eco-friendly wooden toy?

With a wholly transparent supply chain, our friends at Capikooa, Children's Balancing Board Makers, design and make the sustainable beechwood boards in Spain.  The Spanish factory takes 70% of its energy from solar panels.  They are then shipped via sea, rather than land, to save petrol.  Warren hand-packs them in Cambridge at Capikooa HQ, round the corner from Pompom in Saffron Walden!

This is the Capikooa Adventurer Balance Board Size.
